By Running Water

In and this companion folder to "Around the Town" I'm bundling some images of life out in Richmond's streets, parks, and public spaces. I draw from several different photo books, including Street Shots, ObseRVAtion Deck, and Richmond on the James, where the focus is both on people and on setting. In "By Running Water" the settings are three of Richmond's waterways: first, Reedy Creek (captioned as RC), as it flows through Forest Hill Park (FHP) into the James River; second, various parts of the Richmond canal system; and the James River itself. The James & Kanawha Canal is captioned as JKC; the Haxall Canal, an offshoot of it, separates Brown's Island from the city and constitutes a good portion of the downtown Canal Walk.
